http://www.cannabis-med.org/data/pdf/en_2010_01_special.pdf

To date, a lot of clinical trials have been performed evaluating therapeutic applications of cannabis and cannabis-based preperations. This article summarizes results of studies performed between 2005-2009.

The studies included 8 different pathologies for a total of 38 studies.
A total of 2563 patients took part to these studies.

The purpose of these studies were to evaluate the therapeutic effects of cannabis or cannbinoids.
The results of different studies are shown in the tables from pages 4 to 8.

Noteworthy adverse and side effects for each study were described in the table and further explained in the text.

In my opinion, this review of different studies show that there are a lot of researchers concerned with the possibilities that cannabis has. Also it is important to keep the possible side effects in mind.
I think that politicians should not only look at the possible dangers for the community.
But also to the possible applications to aid the ones in pain.

I agree that there should be a clear law on who might be able to buy these products.
But if you know for which deseases cannabis-based preparations are helpfull,
it will be a lot easier to translate it into a clear and profound law.
