I’ve made a table where the most common pros and cons concerning the topic ‘legalization of drugs’ are mentioned. (reference: http://www.libraryindex.com/pages/2395/Legalization-ARGUMENTS-PRO-CON.html)
When I was looking for this date, I got the impression that politicians have their focus on a global legalization for all mankind and not on a legalization for medical appliciations. The fear of an increase of crime and violence is number one on the list for people who are against legalization. I believe that can be true when drugs are legalized “at random”; scientific data proved that there are good clinical outcomes when specific drugs are used in optimal conditions. And only these drugs must be legalized! I’ve never understand (and never will do I guess) the excessive use of drugs and alcohol just for pleasure. So the aim of this blog is to prove that drugs can have benefits for people with terminal diseases, rheumatoid arthritis etc. and not the legalization of drugs for recreative use!
Maybe someday (after the formation of a new government in Belgium..) there might be a law concering legalization in medical applications, but then it must be very strict and defined for all doctors and patients to keep abuse minimal.
